Michelle Ribaudo - Executive Director, MoDE Foundation
Presenter
Michelle Ribaudo is one of the original MoDE Mamas. She is the mother of three; two on the Autism Spectrum, which started her on the journey into special education. Michelle is passionate about helping other families to understand the process, their rights and the rights of their child. She believes in empowering families, so that there is not a reliance on an advocate, and fostering relationships between families and educators.
Michelle has a Bachelor of Business and a Masters in Business Administration. She loves insurance (abnormally so) and earned the designations of Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) and the Associate in Fidelity and Surety Bonding (AFSB) during her tenure in management at insurance companies for the years prior to "retiring" to stay home with her oldest child, when it became clear that behaviors and sensory issues were not in the typical range.
Her amazing husband, Andy, has been a constant resource of support and encouragement as she became educated on IDEA and disability issues to advocate for her own children. Thankfully, he continues to be an incredible source of encouragement as she helps other families.
Michelle was born and raised in rural Illinois, and met Andy in Arizona. Since that time, they have moved around, and currently live in Columbia, Missouri with their 3 children, 2 dogs and 2 cats.
